    A Panel Discussion

     Mergers and acquisitions present unique and critical challenges to HR executives to demonstrate our expertise related to human capital management. For our July meeting, we are pleased to feature a panel of BAHREC members with deep expertise in M&A in both domestic and global settings who will share their experiences, success stories, and lessons learned. Our panel will be moderated by Brenda Rogers, Vice President of Human Resources for Perlegen Sciences and BAHREC Vice President of Membership.

    Our Panelists:

    Catherine Moore joined Nokia Research Center (NRC) in November 2006, where her responsibilities include Global Strategic HR support of NRC’s new System Research Centers. Over the past 20 years Catherine has held various global roles involving Europe, Asia and America coaching key executives, building global HR organizations, and managing both fast-growth and workforce reductions. Catherine started her career with Renault before moving to the United States in 1998 to join the Eclipse Group, a supply chain consulting firm, as director of global corporate development. Before joining Nokia, Catherine worked at Applied Materials, where she managed M&A due diligence and HR transitions involving large multi-national companies. Catherine has an M.S. in Development of Human Resources from C.N.A.M., Paris, France, and M.S. in Business Law from the University of Law and Economics, Aix-en-Provence, France.

    Kerry Benkoski is a senior level HR professional with broad-based experienced in high-technology companies from start-ups to large global organizations. With more than 20 years of experience, Kerry started her HR career with a focus on training, career management and outplacement and then moved into generalist leadership roles over the past 12 years. In her current role, she is in the process of completing the acquisition and integration of Danger Inc. to Microsoft. Her prior companies include JDS Uniphase, eBay, Fujitsu Microelectronics, San Jose State University and Drake Beam Morin. She holds a BS in Organizational Behavior from University of San Francisco.

    Guy Hornbeck, SPHR, GPHR, has over 18 years of domestic and international HR management experience, including HR leadership positions with DuPont, Provident Credit Union, Oak Technology, CRC Health Group and currently with LaserCard Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Brigham Young University, and an M.S. in Industrial Relations from the University of Oregon. Guy is a member of the BAHREC Board of Directors and holds the position of Vice President, Member Communications and Public Relations.
