CALSHRM Legislative Update
Today, three members of the BAHREC board of directors along with CALSHRM visited our state representatives to provide our feedback on several Assembly and Senate Bills.
The meetings went well with the group advocating positions related to flexible worktime and issues related to FEHA and "familial status."
BAHREC, California SHRM and SHRM are all working together to represent logical and sensible work standards for all California Employers and Employees.

VP of Human Resources in the East Bay
A high end global footwear and apparel company based in the Bay Area has recently begun a search to identify a Vice President, Human Resources. The company employs approximately 300 individuals and is currently under $500 million in revenue. Day 2 of SHRM Conference; Metrics, Malcom Gladwell and Mayhem
Today the conference was in full force. There were three concurrent training sessions and Malcom Gladwell was the key note speaker at the General Session. I will try to briefly summarize the buzz from the conference.
